We have recently received an unsolicited email offering a free SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) report:

"I have an SEO report for your website covering search rankings, visibility, and potential customer reach. You can review it without payment or any obligation. May I send the report over?"

While this message may appear harmless, emails of this nature should be treated with caution.

✅ Be cautious when receiving unexpected business proposals.

✅ Do not click on links or open attachments unless they have been verified as legitimate.

✅ Check the sender's email address and research the company independently if there is a genuine business need.

✅ Report suspicious emails through your organisation's reporting process.

✅ Delete the email if the offer is not relevant to your role.

Legitimate organisations can send genuine marketing emails, but unsolicited approaches should always be treated with a healthy degree of scepticism. Taking a moment to verify the sender can help protect both you and your organisation from fraud, phishing attempts, and cyber threats.
